Let's Take Local Innovation to

World Stage

We are raising $5,000 to support Martin Tenywa’s journey from Uganda to the Insects to Feed the World Conference in Italy, this June.

Taking local innovation to the world’s biggest insect farming conference.

The Story

Meet Martin Tenywa - The Maggot King

I lead Ento Organic Farm. For the past eight years, we have used Black Soldier Fly technology to turn organic waste into valuable products and opportunities.

  • We have trained over 5,000 people across Africa
  • Helped more than 1,000 youth and women start green businesses.
  • Diverted more than 9,000 tonnes of organic waste from landfills.
  • Created a free online course to teach others how to use this model.

Now, we have an opportunity to further this impact at the world’s biggest stage.

Insects to Feed the World Conference

This June, I have been selected to attend the Insects to Feed the World Conference in Turin, Italy, where leaders in the insect farming field meet, share ideas, and build partnerships that shape the future of insect farming.

Being there means learning what works at scale, building new partnerships, and bringing back ideas that can grow this impact in Uganda and beyond.
